Casino - Star Shine and Planet Of The Veils
by Sultry Summers

Planet of the Veils, an exotically different world.
One side is dedicated to sexual training of female
adepts, one side to males.
Conquerer, Lord Norquar, raised as a warrior, born
to be king of the Planet Jenous, Norquar reclaims his
kingdom on Belayla's wedding day to his usurper
uncle. He kills his uncle before her eyes, with no love
loss, she was forced to marry the aging despot.
Reclaiming his birthright, Norquar retains innocent
Lady Belayla as his own newly crowned Queen.
While the gas used to subdue the masses in
the Cathedral takes effect, rendering the guests
unconscious, Norquar kisses Belayla. Then
recovering his face with a clear, protective mask,
holds her gaze until she too sleeps.
Norquar takes Belayla, unconscious, to the
Planet of the Veils for her safety until he
stabilizes the throne. And, to be gently schooled
in the sexual arts, knowing she has been trained
from childhood as a warrior. Without a mother
since birth, she knows little of her feminine side
and doesn't care to learn. Belayla is known to be
headstrong and stubborn.
He Leaves Belayla without an explanation or
hope for her future other than the half-truth story
told her by Mistress Donestra, the domineering,
sadistic owner of the training house.
What ensued is a battle of wills between Belayla
and Mistress Donestra. A sensuous battle
between two strong willed women, one who
controls power, one who controls her body and
will. Frustrating Mistress Donestra at each
attempt to arouse her.
When Norquar returns for his wife he finds a
greatly changed woman. One who is out for his
blood. Angered at being left in the clutches of
the sadistic Mistress Donestra. But first, before
he can claim her, he must find her - because
Belayla has escaped - or been kidnapped.

Casino Star Shine is a secret resort for the ultra-super rich.
Lady Minestra aka Mistress Blaze finds herself there and on
the auction block, virgin sex slave for sale to the highest
bidder. Kalyx, Lord and High King of Go'loirs, is just there on
vacation, enjoying the skills of the exciting employees, but
once he sees the beautiful lady in distress he decides to
make a bid at the auction.
This was my first book by Sultry Summers and it was really a
lot of fun to read. The good guys, led by the extremely
wonderful and hunky Kalx, were very good and the bad
guys, particularly the evil dominatrix General Tra'vyn were
so, so bad. And in the middle is the curiously sheltered Lady
Minestra, warrior virgin at large. Oh, and did I mention there
were pirates? Evil space pirates at that.
Overall, the book moved well and definitely set up characters
that I hope to see again in future. It was an interesting
combination of a sweet romance and an erotic tale, both
elements very well developed. There was also a sublte
humor that was very enjoyable. I definitely plan to read more
of Ms. Summers work in future and would recommend
Casino Star Shine highly.

Intrigue, sex and planetary domination are swiftly flowing
stellar undercurrents at Casino Star Shine.
Sold by space pirates to Casino Star Shine, Blaze is
determined to escape before she is sold at their virgin
auction. Her escape attempt is foiled as, tackled by Casino
guards, she tumbles at the feet of Lord Kalx.
Attracted to the fiery duchess, Kalx’s vacation of gaming and
exploring erotic escapes with the Casino’s trained ladies
dulls. Biding his time until he can buy Blaze at the auction,
he meets an ominous woman general. She’s rumored to be
intent on buying Blaze as a ransom in exchange for a rare
mineral found on her world, and Kalx senses her malicious
intent. Outbidding the general, he wins Blaze and marries
her to unite their two worlds.
A relationship of master versus slave/wife turns to one of
trust, respect and love. However, the general is determined
to snatch Blaze by any way possible, including murder.
What do you do when you have something valuable? Guard
it with your life. What about when the valuable item is
another person you hardly know? Buy them at the Casino
Star Shine.
Kalx is a king and excellent judge of people. He can sense
when they have evil on their minds. Minestra simply wanted
to defend her land, until pirates took that away. Her fire and
attitude either reels people in or pushes them away. In Kalx’s
case, he’s hooked.
I liked Ms. Summers writing. Her characters are engaging
and keep the reader interested in the story. The details are
rich and sumptuous. She uses secondary characters well to
buoy the story.
The relationships between the characters happen fast, but I
liked that Kalx took to her based on her being, not her
beauty. People can relate to that. We want to be wanted for
who we are inside. I also liked that they worked together for
the common good. They shared the heroism. And the
baddie? Very nicely evil. You rooted for her to see defeat or
die trying.
If you want a saucy read for an afternoon at the beach, then
find a copy of Casino Star Shine. I give this novella 4½
cherries.
Thank you Tiger Lily for your wonderful review and
I'm so glad you enjoyed my book!

I was completely bowled over by this book. I am not normally
a Sci-Fi fan, but thought I would give Casino Star Shine a
shot. I was pulled into this story from the beginning with
Blaze facing off against a band of pirates. Out numbered she
is willing to fight to the death, until a bargain is struck that
only made her wish she had. Blaze is a strong willed,
beautiful, and smart woman who has just been put in a
predicament that she has to figure how to get herself out of.
Kalx is the hero that every romance reader wants. He’s
strong, in command, good looking, oh and he is a King. After
a chance meeting, if you want to call it a meeting, with Blaze
in the corridor of the Casino ship he can think of nothing but
her and how to he will help rescue this fiery red head.
Sultry is her name and her game, creating an erotic tale that
was not only HOT
Thank you to Heather for her great comments

Planet of the Veils instantly grabs the reader’s attention
with an overwhelming love shared between the King and
his future Queen and the horrible lengths to which a
jealous man will go to have what isn’t rightfully his. Sultry
Summers has done a wonderful job at building an
enormous amount of history in a few pages, leaving
readers drawn to certain characters and wishing for a slow
agonizing end for another. Upon Norquar and Belayla’s
entrance into this story, readers will be cheering for them
to right all the wrongs done in the past and have a future
that Norquar’s parents would be proud of. Once again,
secondary characters will have readers gripping the pages
in emotional heartache and unable to put the story down
until they have been dealt with. The chemistry between
Norquar and Belayla is a physical explosion and a tender
heartfelt moment that will leave readers overjoyed. As the
last page was turned, this reader was amazed at the
journey I experienced and has me hoping there is a follow-
up sequel to settle some additional scores. There is
definitely a character out there that needs to be punished,
one that needs to find love and her way home, and two
characters readers will love to revisit. Planet of the Veils
offers an emotional, erotic, and action-packed plot that this
reader had to read in one setting for fear of missing
something. 5 Angels! For the full review click on the link

Planet of the Veils is an intense and detailed story full of
narrative. While Prince Norquar and Queen Belayla are not
reunited until the final third of the book, their love story was
powerful and well developed. Ms. Summers creates a world
that draws you in and keeps you wondering about what is
going to happen next. This story is action-packed and has
delightful secondary characters. I think that I would have
enjoyed this book more had Norquar and Belayla spent more
time together but would regardless of that still recommend
reading it.

Okay, truth is I am already a Sultry Summers fan; I read her
Gift of the Nightflyer and loved it. It is no surprise then that I
went into this story expecting to like it and trying to do the
unbiased reviewer type thing. I soon found that I was worried
for nothing . . . from page one this story was a pleasure to dive
into, and it never let me down. The characters are interesting
and easily likable or easy to hate depending on who you are
looking at. I was intrigued with the idea of the Planet of Veils, a
sort of sexual training camp, and fascinated with the corruption
that can occur when one is given so much power over another.
So in all honesty, if I had never touched a Sultry Summers
book before, without a doubt this one would have led me to
membership in her fan club.

I found Planet of the Veils to be interesting and fully detailed.
Instead of leaving the reader to be told of the past history of
the world she is creating and about the prophecy, Ms.
Summers gives us the story in full, basically giving the reader
two different stories in one (two for the price of one). However,
our main characters are Norquar and Belayla; they both are
strong in mind and body, domineering, and determined. When
Belayla is sent to the Planet of the Veils she is determined not
to be broken, this does take over a good portion of the book’s
plot. While the sex and sexual scenes in this story are mostly
training for Belayla and involve other people, most of the sex is
enjoyable and enticing. When Norquar and Belayla come
together in their loving and love, I was affected in the most
wonderful way.
I truly did enjoy Planet of the Veils and actually hope for
another story showing more of this world and Norquar and
Belayla.
